    Help with Nprinter

    I am running the “Nptwin95.exe” from the workstation and its telling me that the printer is configured for LPT1, but LPT1 is not supported on the workstation…
    What do I do???

      Do a check for the entry of PORTNAME in the registry. In the Right pane it will have a Data value of “LPT1”. (The exact location is different for each pc as it is in the HKLM\Enum\BIOS\ section.)
      Then change the name from PORTNAME to PORTNAME1, then change it to PortName and close out of the Regisitry editor. The key is case-sensistive.
