Hello,
I am getting a message when booting saying:
‘sb16 emulation driver not loading’.
My system is as follows :
K7V-Slot A Via KX133 (Athlon 700mhz)
Bios version 1003
SB Live! Platinium (retail)
Creative GE Force 256 Pro
win98se
IRQ assigned :
IRQ 5 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
IRQ 5 VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
IRQ 5 VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
IRQ 10 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
IRQ 10 Creative SB Live!
IRQ 11 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
IRQ 11 Creative CT6971
IRQ 14 Primary IDE controller (dual fifo)
IRQ 14 VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller
IRQ 15 Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)
IRQ 15 VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller
My question is : Do I need to enable the “Onboard Legacy Audio Support”
feature (Advanced ? Onboard peripheral resource control) in my Bios settings
in order to get SB dos emulation to work properly ? If yes, how could it
interfere/conflict with the currently assigned interrupts ?
