Help with setup of RRAS on 2003 Server

by swisstonihasher . Updated 20 years, 3 months ago

Hi, my network has a specific public IP address used for RRAS via NAT…

I’m having a few problems trying to “copy” the setup of RRAS from an old Win 2K server to a new 2003. When I try and setup RRAS on the new server as “LAN routing only” I find the internal interface is shown as unknown as is the DHCP relay agent and I’m unable to amend these settings. One thing I’ve noticed with the old server is a 2nd network configuration for PPP/Slip adapter WAN setup with the IP address used for the internal interface of RRAS via IPCONFIG /ALL. How do I setup a virtual PPP/Slip connection like this? I’ve found the firewall settings which will be easy to amend, but can’t find a way of sorting the “internal interface”.

Any help or links to RRAS docs will be much appreciated as I’m flying a little blind at the moment
