Help with sum function on form in Access

By Jrowland ·
I'm trying to build a database that records monitoring data in a call center data. I have created a form that grades on a scale from 0-5 in several categories.
How can I add all these values entered in the form and autofill the the last field total?

Go to the Help file and search for the word Calculate. Display the topic "Create a calculated control on a form or report"
That should answer your question.

You want to create a calculated field on your form which is the ab| button on your forms design toolbox. Create one of these on your form, it will create a white box on your form called unbound with an associated label ....ex. text10. Right click on the unbound box and choose Properties. In the Properties window you will find a section called control source. You can enter the calculation in here or use the build option (...)three dot button at the end of the control box to help you build the formula. Example: = [rating1]+[rating2]+[rating3]. This will give you a formula that will continue to add up the the totals as the scale values are entered onto the form.

hope it helps
