Judging from the file location, The Windows must be either ME or XP.
The RESTORE folder is protected and no program can access including any anti virus program.

Turn off System Restore (this will delete all files under the RESTORE folder). Reboot to Safe Mode and run antivirus program there.

Turn the computer off for at least 30 seconds, reboot to normal mode, and run anti virus program again.

The Trojan seems very new. Keep your eyes on Symantec, McAfee, Trendmicro, Pandasoftware, f-prot, and so on for any breaking news.

Also check on www.google.com or vivisimo.com.

Thank you very much wsp for the help. I did just as you said and it did get rid of my virus. If anyone ever gets any information on this trojan please post it on here so I can read up on it because I don't know how long it has been on my pc. It was just discovered after a new update, because I do a scan evening.

Hello Glenda:

Downloader is brand new January 9th for one and January 14th for the other and your antivirus should have a fix by now.

Shame on you for opening and attachment.

Anyway if your antivirus does not have an update yet, Mcafee can fix it with stinger at:
http:/vil.nai.com/vil/sting. It was updated on january 18th for Downloader and the latest Bagle!

Good Luck

I use the following on a regular basis on my machine and when I do a clients machine.

Spybot
http://tinyurl.com/ziar

Ad -Aware
http://tinyurl.com/tek5

CwShredder
http: //tinyurl.com/ysp9h

Hijack This
http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/

Remove spaces after copy and paste.

The first three use a definations file that tells them what to look for. Very easy to use.

Hijack This requires knowledge of what you are looking at in its list. You can remove the wrong thing using this utility.

Good Luck Lee
