Help with Word

I am trying to create a template that would allow users to use as a spell checker for another program. I also want to limit the number of characters to 500. (This is the limit of the comment area in the other program. I tried creating a template with a text box in it but I am having trouble with word wrap. Can someone guide me or point me in the right direction?

Essentially they would type inside this word document use the built in spell checker and copy and paste their comments into the other program.
