I have a computer my dad built me and just added a sony CRX 160E-A1 cd burner to this computer. I am using windows 98se on this computer with an Intel pentium 2 processor with 266mhz and 256 mb of ram. About a week ago I was burning mp3’s at 8x and burning from my hard drive at 12x, now it will only burn mp3’s at 4x and from the hard drive at 8x.I’m a college student so money is scarce, don’t want to have to keep taking it to Best Buy to have them tell me it will cost me $500 to make it burn faster when it was doing fine a few weeks ago. Have added norton virus scanner and uninstalled it thinking this was the problem, but this still hasn’t helped. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!
