Hewlett Packard low quality products

By anika22 ·
I bought a laptop in 2008 and in least than 6 months the laptop went 3 times to HP Service and they changed cables, memory and other stuff. Some months later and still least than a year after I bought it, the touch pad stopped working. They told me I have to pay $318.86 even with the laptop is under warranty because they said I broke
You can see that it's a low quality laptop (but not cheap, I paid $1200 for it) because it went to technical services 4 times in least than year.
When I complained about it and asked for a Supervisor who can explain me that case to me in Spanish they said: in 24 hours someone speaking Spanish is going to call you. One week later I was still waiting... When they finally call me they just repeated the same: you broke it. Therefore because they said that the warranty does not matter and I have to pay.

Sometimes a laptop or other piece of kit is just bad. Sometimes they also come back from servicing worse off then they went in.

I've seen several reports of laptops that were so bad, that when the vendor finally decided to replace the laptop, the customer had to sign a non-disclosure agreement stating that he would not talk about how bad the laptop was. Those are the lucky ones who actually got a replacement.

I'd be asking HP how they know you broke it, and that it wasn't a flaw from the start or damaged by one of their technicians during a previous servicing attempt.
