By loosemyreligion ·
Hello everyone! i know you are experienced a lot in Computer problems. Can anyone help me with my problem? My laptop finds hard to boot. Every time I switch on the button, it displays nothing. Sometimes, its okay, the bios will start to load until windows. But most of the time, do not. It keeps on rebooting but there's no display at all. My friends told me that it is on hibernate problem. I tried to disable the hibernate settings but it didn?t work. I am using windows vista and 2 GB ram 160 GB HD and 2.0 GHz processor. Thank you in advance for your help.

Is it still under warranty?

by ThumbsUp2 In reply to hibernate

If it is, call for tech support. We won't do anything that might invalidate your warranty.

If not under warranty, how old is it?

We'll also need much more information than what you've provided.

Start with the make/model of the laptop and what version of Vista?

What did you do to try and disable hibernate and what happened when you tried? Did you try to disable it using the Administrator login account?

Did you leave it turned off and unplugged for a long period of time which might cause the internal CMOS battery to go dead? Have you left it plugged in and charged up before trying to turn it on?

That will get us started.

hibernate

It is an honor for me that someone replied my message. Unfortunately, the warranty was expired 2 months ago. My laptop is 1 year and 2 months old. I didn?t turn my laptop off for a long time. And I didn?t leave the laptop on-plugged. But sir, I think, you gave me an idea, may be it was a bios. Wasn?t it sir? Anyway, here are the specs of my system:

HP Pavilion dv6000
AMD Turion(TM) 64*2 Mobile Technology with 2.0 GHz speed
Graphics by NVIDIA Geforce 7200 with 330MB total memory
I am using windows vista home premium as my OS. Thank you very much sir for your time. I hope you can help me fix this problem.
