Hidden Program Deleting RSA folder files!!!

by ybro2 . Updated 21 years, 1 month ago

I’ve been attacked lately by an awful spyware that goes by the name of “aurora”. One of the programs created by another of this programs subsidiaries deleted a file or a folder in the following location: Rootdirectory\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\Rsa.

I found this out through Norton Unerase Wizard, a truly indispensable life-saving program.

I was wondering whether or not this deletion poses a security threat…not to mention, if so it will allow legal action to be brought against the individuals who created this program.

I’m not looking for info about getting rid of spyware, rather I want to know the purpose of the contents of the folder or directories, what purpose do they serve? And should programs normally have access to them..I highly doubt it.
