I'm looking for a way to keep NT boxes from being shown in network neighborhood.

You're only going to be able to hide client boxes. If you turn off browsing on your servers, you might run into problems if your PDC (which is the master browser) or the BDC (which is the backup master browser)go down. If you have alot of clients,it will be alot of work going to each machine and turning it off in the registry. Here is the path. hkey_local_machine, system, currentcontrolset, services, browser, parameter. Good luck.

There is no reason to turn off browsing. Type: 'net config server /hidden:yes'
at the command prompt. Servers or workstations will still be accessible but not shown in network neighborhood.

Hope this helps,
Dave
