Home AD DS/DNS/DHCP Server 2008

by tech_leak . Updated 13 years ago

Hi, I decided to turn my home computer into a test environment for my Windows Server 2008 R2 testing so I’ve installed VMware Workstation 9 and installed my server. I used Network Connection type as Bridged. Installed AD DS, DNS Integrated, everything works fine.

Server ipv4 configuration as follows:

Ip: 192.168.0.70
subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1 (router)

Dns server: 192.168.0.70 (as dns role is installed on same dc)

Now, how do I get my (virtual clients thats joined to the domain) use Server DNS? At the moment, clients receiving ip config from router (ip addresses, dns ip’s etc).
