Home dirs on a w2k workgroup srvr,no AD

by alan3 . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

I administrate 2 netware servers using nds, and setting up users and there respective
home folders is a piece of cake.
We use NT4 for apps and I setup shares for these apps, with little problems. I have never had to setup home directories on a nt4 server.

I am in the process of setting up a win2000 server for 1 of our remote facilities.

I am not implementing AD at this time and have setup the server as a workgroup
server, running DHCP, and DNS cache only server, getting dns from our ISP.

Trying to setup users home directories is a pain!
What I want to do is have them see JUST their home folder plus a generic share
folder.

Is there a Kb on the MS web site on how to do this?
