home folder

i have it set for users so they cant access the c drive so they are forced to save things to there u drive how can i make it so that when they are in word or what ever program they are using when they go to save they dont need to find there u drive it just deafults to that location... i need a way that i can set that up in active directory or something that so i dont have to go into every machine...

please help

just confirm what version of word your using
you can use a logon script to modify the users registry upon logon or use GPO
For Word the Registry key is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\W ord\Options\DOC-PATH

Excel it is

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\E xcel\Options\DefaultPath

you can also use the Group policy to set the default paths as well
here is a link on how to do that
