I know that using a switch instead of a hub speeds up data transfer between computers within a home network. What else should one look at to improve the home network’s performance?
For example I wish to perform a backup of a hard drive to a drive on another computer using my home network. If I attempt to use the Copy command (for example) the backup process may take hours.
Suggestions?
