I have two computers on my home network. Cable modem is connected to the hub, as is both both computers. Both access the internet just fine. But they will not talk to each other. I can ping each of them, but cannot see them in network neighborhoodor connect to the share established? One is WIN2K PRO the other is WIN98. Only Protocol is TCP/IP and File and Print Sharing is selected. A user was established on the 2000 machine and given appropriate rights.
