i am trying to connect windows vista home edition and windows xp home edition using cross over cable. after configuring the ip address manually for both computers, i can ping fron win vista but i cannot ping from windows xp. the fierwall has been removed from both pcs. but the trouble is i still cant get the 2 pcs to communicate with each other. anybody with any idea?
