I have established a connection between home office and a cooperative LAN. This is done through two Zywalls using the IPSec protocol. I can see Windows2000/XP machines, but not my NT4 server. This is a small business server. The server is used mainly for file sharing but it is also a PDC.
My questions is:
1: What is the best way to work remote. Is there any good clint software that I can run to see my computer’s desktop at work and use all the mapped drives set up on it. At home there aremainly Win2000 computers and at work there are Win2000/XP for workstations.
2: To reach the NT4 server. I can not find any RRAS posibilities on it. Is that what’s needed? Servicepack 5 is installed. I can ping my server but with “net view \\192.168.xxx.xxx” I get errorcode 53. As I have understood it RAS is for dialup and RRAS is for remote LAN access. I’m I wrong. I have been thinking about doing servicepack6/6a or upgrading to Win2000 server, but I’m after all this struggle with the servernot quite sure where to go from here, so…
