Hi, homepage on my XP machine has been hijacked – I read a similar problem here where people kindly offered to look at a “hijack this” log, I tried to post this but ran out of charaters. Spybot is reporting “DSO exploit” and “CoolWWWSearch” but selecting “fix this” doesn’t!
Also, will just fixing the homepage hijack by deleting registery entries or whatever solve the problem totally, or is it likely that there is something worse going on? I’ve heard about viruses that dial overseas numbers etc, and this computer did once drop the connection and try to dial something that definately isn’t one of my connections – it didn’t seem to manage and the connections still show the right number but I’m not convinced….
