Hosting Internal Website

My main goal is go into my browser and type in www.whatever.com address and it be pointed to a htm document or an IP address on my IIS server. I have have full connectivity between my DNS and IIS server.

Can anyone tell me the steps or tell me where the steps are to host an internal website. I don’t want to host this externally just internally.
