Hosting locally

by enriquehernz . Updated 19 years, 2 months ago

Ok folks, we have a branch in China for our business that keeps complaining on the load times of our website… Unfortunately, the China government seems to be regulating or governing the internet stringently (I assume – suspect) that is costing our site to not be displayed quick enough. My guess is they pre-screen them or something, God knows what.

Anyway, a possible solution was brought up if we could host our chinese website overseas, locally to China. We would still host it in the states and be the primary host for it, but we want the Chinese clients to be able to access and be redirected to the closest server hosting the website.

Is this possible? I ask this as I’ve never done this before and need some feedback from the pros!
