I had my XP (SP2) PC connected to a cable modem for access to the internet. I have purchased a Vista Laptop and wish to setup a home network.
So I wired the cable modem to a Buffalo Airstation WHR-G54S and wired this to my PC – the PC can access the internet OK.
The Wireless Vista laptop can also access the internet.
Zonealarm runs on the PC. The PC can see and access public folders on the laptop.
The laptop can see the PC (but only on “View the full map”)but when I try to access I get a “\\PCname is not accessible….”. Anyone any ideas?
