I have a P266 and am unable to setup win95 due to scandisc stopping installation.Its a WD HDD & using their recommended EZ Install program I cannot get more than 8gb recognaised. I’ve the UT801X chipset Amibios v 03.09 15/07/95 & the Hsing Tech VXPRO2 m/board , running 48mb ram, cdrom, cdwriter, sb32, Acer scanner, Cannon BJC1000 printer & an ext. 56K modem. Ami, WestDig & Hsing webpages have been of no help to me and I am now totally baffled. I think my bios needs to be flashed/upgraded but cannot determine the correct program/method for the system.
If anyone can help,I would appreciate it. (Please bear in mind I am still just a newbie IT wannabe & my daughter is desparate for my current harddrive to get her computer active again. )
