How can I add TCP/IP Port for a Printer?

by McKayTech In reply to How can I add TCP/IP Port ...

If it is an HP printer, you can set up TCP/IP printing with JetAdmin - this essentially sets up a printer port on your server, queues the files there and sends them to the printer.

IBM also has TCP/IP printing for it's Lexmark Optra line and it'snot all that different from the HP approach.

In each case, there is workstation software that makes it happen. I know this isn't a complete answer but those are the only two product lines with which I have direct experience.

regards!
