If you are being charged, I assume that you signed up for the premium Tech Pro Guild service.

From the Help link near the upper right of most TR pages, click on the Tech Pro Guild link and you will find:

" hat if I want to cancel my TechProGuild membership?
There are two ways to cancel your TechProGuild membership:

1. Contact customer service with your instructions. Please include your full name and account number (if available) with any correspondence. Call us at 1-845-566-1866 or toll-free at 1-800-217-4339.

2. Send mail correspondence, indicating your request to cancel, to:

TechProGuild
1630 Lyndon Farm Court
Louisville, KY 40223"

There is also a link near the bottom of the help page to contact TR directly.

Just so you know, these forums are not fully monitored by the Tech Republic staff.
There is a core group of site users who make the TR staff aware of problems and assist people like yourself who can't find the links they need on TR pages.

I've used Bearshare for a number of years and have now concluded no further use. I emailed Bearshare and this is what they are advising:

"In order to unsubscribe our premium service, please email us a cancellation request at Email: help-center@bearshare.com with the correct details:
- Name on credit card that was used: (first, middle, and last name)
- The last 4-digits on the credit card you used.
- The email you registered with in Bearshare 6 (to find it, click "To Account Settings" and you will see it under the "General Info" tab.

I also concur with another posting noted, call you credit card company and tell them you've unsubscribed and to no longer issue payment. And lastly, request a confirmation number/email for furure reference when they bill you again.
