How can I change or reset file date attr

By rt_smith ·
Is there an easy way to reset the date and time attributes for individual files? Is there a wildcard method so that an entire directory could be reset?

Thanks!

Tim

Use the "Touch.Exe" utility in the "GNU utilities for Win32", which may be downloaded from the following site:

http://www.edv.agrar.tu-muenchen.de/~syring/win32/UnxUtils.html

Click on the link for "UnxUtils.zip"...the file is just over 2MB.
Once you have unzipped the file, open up a command-prompt window, and browse to the directory containing the files. Type "touch --help" to view the allowable switches and parameters.

Hope this helps...

Try a program call Properties Plus. This is a Windows Explorer add-on that provides right click access to change time stamps of single or multiple files. You can download the application from www.download.com or visit the publishers site at http://www.ne.jp/asahi/cool/kish/
