Im familiar with the “best practice” manner of formatting your hard drive to dual boot, but as this is my work PC i didnt initially configure it. Id like to be able to dual boot to Vista (GOd help me)so I can start familiarizing myself with it; and maybe throw a linux distro on there. XP is already installed as the only OS on the only partition. I dont want to lose my current OS’s config as its got a ton of links, files, services already set up. Any suggestions on how to do this? Could I ghost this partition then reformat the drive properly w/ a bootloader and restore the image. Or is there an easier way?
Id be willing to install a second hard-drive, if i did this could I set is as master and use a bootloader to boot from my current drive?
Any suggestions on the easiest way to do this greatly appreciated.
