How can I kill my bosses ugly screen saver

My company insists on deploying it's propaganda via screen savers with our CEO's quotes and "motivational" sayings. It's ugly and fascist! :) In the past I'd just disable it via "Properties" and enable my family pictures, but they've gotten smart and disabled that screen. I'm an application QA Analyst who's focus is more on the customer experience in our apps, and while I can float through and change "techie" stuff that I already know about I have not been able to find the parameter to fix this. I tried a hint I found in TechRepublic (below) but it didn't work. Any ideas?

Batch file to delete .SCR?

by CharlieSpencer In reply to How can I kill my bosses ...

This will work if you have Power User access to your computer. If you don't, there may not be anything you can do.

Look in your Windows \ System32 directory for .SCR files. Look for one with a recent date. Note the filename. Next time the screen saver changes to a new load of motivational crapola, check the file and see if it has the same name, or at least some characters in common.

If it has the same name, write a single line batch file:

delete C:\windows\system32\propganda.scr

If it doesn't have the same name, use wildcards around the common characters.

Stick the batch file in your Startup group. This is dirty but fast. I'm sure someone will have better suggestions.

Thanks! Partially worked

After 10 minutes the propaganda didn't show. The security time out caused me to have to CTL-ALT-DEL to get back in, but I can deal with that. I'm told that the insidious .scr file will cycle back again every 90 minutes, and I still can't enable the Properties to allow my own pics anymore, but at least I don't have to look at that marketing junk during boring conference calls or a webex. Thank you so much Palmetto!

I am suffering of the same problem here, my company is stubborn into putting bad taste screensavers that don't work properly

I already deleted the scr file and the thing is not appearing anymore, buth the option at the properties tab is still locked, the setting to "1" did not resolved the problem, any help?
