I use vista ultimate on my 2007 media center desktop. This is what came with my computer. I am trying to reformat my computer because I am trying to figure out if my audio issues are related to changes ive made on my computer since uninstalling reinstalling drivers does not work. However, 6 months ago I had my hard drive replaced because it died. They had given me back my operating system (but not sure how they did so). Today, I realized I don’t have my recovery drive anymore, nor do I have a vista ultimate CD or Pc tools folder where I can create recovery disks… How do I reformat? And if there is a way, will my os still be vista ultimate? I don’t want to lose that operating system. I see there is still an option for f11 where it says system recovery. but will that work and is that what I want? My data is already backed up so I am not worried about losing files and software I downloaded on my own time.
