This question has prior answers. But since not everyone knows how to search for them, here’s where I can find them. Also, you should always add the name of the app and which smartphone.
That depends on the app. For example, if I trun off automatic updates in Android, all apps from Google only say they have an update available, but I have to press Update to execute it.
But there might be apps that just update without asking. Ask the author if it’s possible to prevent that.
Open the Run command (Win + R), in it type: services. msc and press enter.
From the Services list which appears find the Windows Update service and open it.
In ‘Startup Type’ (under the ‘General’ tab) change it to ‘Disabled’
Restart.
So this may or may not be a Windows Update problem. What the heck do you think would happen if an Android user attempted your advice to stop some app from updating on their phone?
Your advice is worthless at this point.
1. Open Google Play Store app on your Android device.
2. Tap the three bars at the top-left to open a menu, then tap ‘Settings’.
3. Tap the words ‘Auto-update apps’.
4. Select ‘Don’t auto-update apps’ and then tap ‘Done’…
