i wonder what are you doing this for.
is this so you can see if docs are walking out?
is this to make reprinting docs easy?
i wonder, do you want to track or save? or both?
what exactly is 'track' and 'save'? what exactly about the doc do you need to track and or save.
some printers can have hard drives in them to store fonts. maybe documents too? might be available on the network? maybe i would ask a network printer manufacturer salesperson this question. like hp. or doc management company like xerox.
i have not heard of software for this...but that is probably where i would go looking.
also i would check out mskb 'printer management' to see if built-in stuff would work.
