How can we change the Node type in Windo

Hi,

We are running with in Windows NT environment with out WINS & DNS across the VLANS. We need to chage the node type to 'P-Node" with out using the WINS. I red it earlier some where but I am not sure what to be done. Any suggetins are appreciated.

What will you be using as your NetBIOS Name Server on your network, if you're not going to use WINS?

You can change the node type under the registry of the machine:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBIOS\Parameters

However, if your not using wins then you will have to settle with B-node which is broadcast only!
