HOW CAN YOU SIMPLIFY A TOO LONG "IF" FUNCTION

By RL_STYX ·
I HAVE A PROBLEM IN MAKING DROPDOWN LIST IN THE CELL.. I WANT TO ASSIGN A LIST IN ANOTHER CELL WHEN I SELECT AN ITEM IN THE DROPDOWN LIST ON THE OTHER..
EG. WHEN I SELECT APPLE IN THE DROPDOWN LIST IN CELL A1, THE CELL A2 SHOULD HAVE A LIST OF ITS KINDS. SO AS IN B1, WHEN I SELECT ORANGE IN CELL B2, C2 SHOULD HAVE THE DROPDOWN LIST OF ORANGES...
THE PROBLEM IS, THE SYNTAX IS TOO LONG FOR IT FIT IN THE LIMITED SOURCE BOX IN THE VALIDATION LIST. HOW CAN THIS BE SIMPLIFIED?

ANYONE... PLS HELP..

Don't type in all CAPS, it is VERY hard to read when you have been sitting at a computer screen for hours. Second, it is considered yelling.

But on to your question...

Why not use LOOKUP, VLOOKUP, or HLOOKUP to complete this conditional statment? Use the help feature for examples.
