I have a dell inspiron 6000, I am pretty sure I have done everything I can think of in this situation. My internal cd/dvd rom went bad, so I went and bought a external usb drive. I have checked the BIOS and even flashed to the newest version. But I am still unable to boot from the external drive. I have figured out how to boot to my usb flash drive, but what do I do next to get my external drive to be recognized. I am not that savy with computers, so I may need step by step directions.
