– I want to set up an off-site DRP for my network.
– The main office has two servers – a Domain Controller for the network and a terminal server that remote users RDP into to do their work.
– The two servers at the office both have public IP addresses and private IP addresses.
– At the off-site, I am looking at installing two servers – a replica for the DC at the office and a replica for the terminal server at the office.
– The two DCs (office and Off-site) should be able to replicate each other.
– I will configure folder transfer from the office terminal server to the off-site terminal server.
– The off-site servers need both public and private IP addresses.
– The servers at the office run on Windows Server 2003 R2 – the off-site servers will be configured with the same OS.
The Help I need:
– Will the two sets of servers (office and off-site) need to have public IP addresses of the same subnet.
– Which is the best way to connect the two sites? VPN?
– At the office, I have a EdgeWater 4550 firewall installed and I intend to have the same at the off-site.
Please advise.
