    How do I create a template in EXCEL

    We need to create a template for excel for one of our national satelite locations.

    If anyone has advice, please help me.

      Create what you want in your template on a new blank workbook, multiple sheets and all. You should put only the repeating parts, labels, formulas, constants, and formatting in the workbook.

      Then go to File, Save As. At the bottom of the Save As Dialog box change the Save as Type selection to “Template(*.xlt).” This will automatically take you to the Templates folder. Type a name for your template and click on Save. Close the template file.

      To use the template go to File, New and your template will be in the General tab to create as many new workbooks based on the template as you want.
