How do I edit/print a .rpn file?

By Emmbee ·
Apologies to the gurus! I have just tried to open a file previously 'printed' to a .prn file and I cannot print it to printer or edit it or save it as a readable file. What gives?
Thx,
MB

PRN files contain the RAW commands and data to print text or graphics to a printer. Its specific for each type of printer e.g. PCL, ESC/P or Postscript etc.
To print it try COPY file.prn LPT1: /B

Hello There,
Thx for the response to my request for help. The copy cmd did not work. I should've mentioned that I use Win XP. After thinking for a while, I went back to the DOS days and used the print command.
Here's how:
Start, Run, cmd, in the DOS window I typed the following:
print Desktop\*.prn
Very simple. I HATE BEING TIED TO THE DESKTOP!! I am from the old world - DOS and UNIX. Luv it!
Regards,
Marina
