How do I FIND a checkbox field in MS Word?

By JacksonianMan ·
I have data in which a blank check-box field is the delimiter. I want to do a plain Find and Replace to remove it and put in a paragraph code (^p). I have searched from a number of angles--what I see with an Excel =LEN function IS indeed one character. I don't see it listed in Field Codes--it is a high ASCII, or Unicode number? Can one place such, when determined, into the "Find" box?

If we're talking about a text file, I'd suggest you try to nail down the code by looking at the data in a hex editor. Worst case, use that same hex editor to replace the character with something you can reach.
Up to XP, your closest hex editor is command line tool debug. But you should be able to find tons of alternatives on any decent freeware site.
