How do I get rid of a HD partition created by mistake?

By johntrade2000 ·
I recently made a mistake and created a partition on my back up HD. So, I now have an E drive and an F drive on the same HD. How can I get rid of the partition?

Shrinking the F drive to 1GB would also work for me as I am not using the F drive for any thing.

I am using Windows XP Home and an Iomega External HD.

Thank you sooo much for any help you may have for me and my plight,

John

Well depending on how you created this partition

You could delete it and then use something like GParted to increase the Size of the existing partition

http://gparted.sourceforge.net/download.php

Or you could use GParted to shrink the Size down of the Partition you don't want and increase the other Partition.
