Few questions

by HomusOnline In reply to HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS ...

Need a bit more info:

When did this start?
Has anything happened with any Norton/Symantec software lately?
NUMISC.DLL is a Norton/Symantec component and may be from the start up portion of Norton failing.
Have you tried Safe Mode or Last Known Good Configuration?
After Boot and before the welcome screen, start tapping F8 to bring up the list. Then try Safe Mode or Last Known Good. Last Known Good may be comprimised, do not know how far into the startup Windows was able to get to.

Will keep an eye on this post, but you might need someone to take a look at the system to see if Norton is failing, or something is interacting with Norton and causing the error. Also, googled the NUMISC.DLL, and found numerous places this file can be downloaded from.
