How do i get rid Of Zenworks desktop manager?

By Starilae ·
I recently recieved one of my friend's father's older Laptops that has Zenworks written all over it. After getting the passwords and all that good stuff i came to my first wall of not being able to log on to the administrator account without being connected to a "tree". I consider myself computer savy but ive never heard of something like that. After getting into windows without signing into zenworks i began trying the obvious ways of removal. In add/remove programs, it cant be removed. Better yet, only one other program is allowed to be removed, and its unimportant. I tried going through all this trouble in windows regristry to try and find the uninstaller exe. but there was none to be found. so i decided to actually find out exactly what zenworks was and i see now that it was made to do all this stuff. Ive been at this for 2 weeks now, if noone knows how i will be content with wiping the hardrive, but i cant figure out how to do it with zenworks hiding so many essential prompts. thanks in advanced.(Running off of Windows XP Pro)

Have you tried CCleaner's 'uninstall' function ?

CCleaner's uninstall function, under Tools, reaches the parts other uninstallers can't reach.

Alternately, have you tried uninstalling it while in Safe Mode ?

Another possible option . . .

You could install Autoruns, scan the system, then just disable every single instance of Zenworks prior to re-boot.

On re-boot it shouldn't be evident then CCleaner can remove all registry entries for Zenworks, then you can physically delete it from the harddrive.
