How do I get the cpu id#?

Is there a program or command in windows, all versions, that will return the computer chip id number?

You might be able to see the CPU ID at the POST screen it's normally underneath the CPU speed, but if you cannot see it then it might have the option within the BIOS to show the ID.

Or like the previous posts you could download the CPU info program from either Intel or AMD (the AMD version will tell you the information whether it was an Intel or AMD chip)
