You get to the back door by going around the house.

I think you need to clarify what you are asking.

there aren't any backdoors to operating systems unless you put one in there e.g. trojans. if your locked out, can't remember the local admin account name/password on W2K/XP/2003 you'll have to crack it. No back door in.

There's tools available for resetting or changing passwords but as mentioned you need to give more info.

If the password is in the bios you have two options:

1. If it is a laptop you are pretty much screwed. There are some sites that have what is known as "backdoor passwords". This site has a pretty good listing.

2. If it is a desktop, you can use the reset bios jumper or remove the bios battery for a while.

Now if what you are talking about is a os password. You have 2 options.

1. Download a password reset tool, make you a boot disk and reset the password.

2. Find whoever put the password on and break their fingers.

For future reference, the more information you can provide us with the, the better the answers.

We are not trying to be flip, well... maby some of us are, it's just hard enough to fix the voodo that computers come up with. It's damn near impossible to do it when you have no clue to the machine, os, software... ya get my drift.
