      What is your dream?

      Load up all your stuff…

      and move into your dream!

      By this I mean:
Drop your pre-conceived notions about everything.
Get a good and well-rounded education.
Analyze the change you seek to effect to the last detail, propose the problem/s, propose the solution/s.
Acquire the skill-set needed to implement the solution/s to the problem/s.
Keep your balance and your peace in order to draw others into your vision.
Don’t swim on the surface, dive deep into the depths. The surface is but a symptom.

Think back to the little engine that could and recite to yourself “As it neared the top of the grade, which had so discouraged the larger engines, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, “I–think–I–can, I–think–I–can.” It reached the top by drawing out bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, “I thought I could, I thought I could.”

In the technique department, what do you feel your not prepared for? What do you forsee as obstacles? Have you broken major tasks/goals into smaller achievable blocks? et al

      More specific, please.

It’s difficult for us to give you techniques when you haven’t told us what your dream is. The techniques to achieve financial independence are different from those to achieve notoriety as an ‘adult film’ star. Exactly what is it you hope to accomplish?

You know, Palmetto, I’m constantly amazed at how your brain works. I’d like to rummage around in there sometime just to see what I could shake out.

I never would have gone with “adult film star”. I was going more towards something like… It depends if your dreams are actually achievable. If you’re going for something like being a doctor, then that is achievable. Winning the lottery or world peace is an aspiration, but not necessarily something that you can affect.

Let’s see, there’s Grandpa’s war medals; those awful dishes Aunt Tillie left us; several boxes of Christmas decorations; that suit I’ll never fit in again…

Oh, here’s those rolls of insulation I keep meaning to put down. I really ought to get that done before next winter.

No, there’s nothing interesting in that orange box. Really, nothing. No, don’t; DON’T OPEN THAT!!!!

          Oh, Sh!t…

          Obvious reply

The obvious reply is that at least there’s something in there. I know a lot of people whose head seems to echo, it’s so empty.

Hmmm… wonder if a duck quacks in an empty mind if it will echo. Might be a good follow-up to the quacking duck episode of Mythbusters (my favorite show of all time).
