How do I install an HP C5180 printer on an HP Windows 7 Computer?

By edkortman ·
I downloaded the current driver/installion program from HP for my C5180 all-in-one USB printer, but it fails to install on my HP quad-core Windows 7 computer. The techs at BestBuy couldn't install it either.

32 vs 64?

by TobiF In reply to How do I install an HP C5 ...

According to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en-us&type=Hardware&s=HP%20C5180%20 it should work well.
But be careful about getting the right drivers (32 vs 64bit)

Do you get any error messages?

Printer Fails to Install

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an AMD quad-core processor. The latest software from HP for the C5180 printer fails with a message: No Print Processor. When Windows Update tires to update the printer, it just returns a message: Update Failed.
