I originally upgraded from winnt 4.0 to win2k pro. I noticed that the OS took about 2 min. to startup. I tried my best to decrease the boot time but no success. Finally, I decided to do a new install (reformat the hdd, etc.). Well, what an improvement! The startup time is down to 1 minute. But I still want to shave more time off that process. Currently only these services start automatically:
workstation
rpc
dhcp
plug play
system event notification
protected storage
eventlog
com+ event system
NAV autoprotect
Here are my system specs:
(p3 500 256 mb ram)
all drives are running NTFS.
