How do I minimize mult. web pgs w/ IE5?

By soulsmiths ·
Ever since I upgraded to IE5 I seem unable to minimize more than one web site. These are the steps I follow:
1) bring up site-full screen
2) minimize site-appears on tool bar
3) click on new site
4) minimized site briefly appears, then closes & is replaced by the new site I choose
(This does not happen if multiple windows within same site)
So, I cannot go back & forth between sites. I have looked for some option in the IE options panel but am not sure what to look for.
Can you help?
Thanks, Nick.

I don't know if the below will work for you or not -- it should if you are using the minimize button in the upper right corner of your screen (it sounds like you may be doing something different to minimize???). At any rate, try:

Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced

Under the Browsing section uncheck the "reuse windows for launching shortcuts"

Sometimes opening a new window works best (ctrl + N) then open the site you wish with the new window while minimizing the other windows. I hope this helps for the one part. To minimize pages or documents, right click empty portion of task bar and select "Minimzie All Windows".
