How do I move an Exchange server?

I have a server running Exchange 5.5 SP2. I was put in charge of maintaining this server, but I know next to nothing about Exchange.

The computer that it is running on has started to have problems and I need to move it to a different computer. How do I do this?

I found an article in the Microsoft Knowlege Base, but it required that the new computer have the same name and the same hard drive structure. I would prefer not to do that as the original server has it’s data spread across three drives for some unknown reason (It could all fit on the first drive with over 4GB to spare).

Can anyone help me out?
