How do I permanently delete "My Pictures" from Excel 2003?

By MiFi ·
I don't need, or want, the My Pictures, My Videos or My Music files on my computer. How do I permanently delete them?

Not sure I understand the question

you just delete them and they are gone forever.

Not sure what you are referring to when you say 'delete them from excel 2003', as I believe these are the standard folders that Windows creates in the My Documents folder.

not gone forever . . .

drop
regsvr32 /u mydocs.dll

into the run dialog or into a command window

that un-registers the my docs folders

deleting the folders is only temporary
they come back the next time you click "Save As" in any application that has been written to use the default folder set

Are you talking about the Office file open/save dialog?

If what is showing there is your concern, yes, you can probably change those for Office and Windows. Which OS and edition are you using?

If none of these responses have correctly guessed your intent, more clearly state what you want to do.
