which os? what kind of server?
you will need a floppy drive and a cdrom drive in the thing. set it up to boot off the cdrom. from another computer, download the drivers for your os for the raid controllers and any other hardware you can identify. like nic, sound, video
make sure you have your RAID drivers on a floppy ready to add them when prompted during the install. boot from your installation cd and follow the instructions. you can always start over if you need to...

You can go to the manufacturers website for the type of server you are installing and download all of the documentation on the install process.

If you are installing a compaq server, you will probably need the smartstart CD so that you can prepare your raid and install the diagnostic partition first. also get the current rompaqs for your hardware, so as to get current with your BIOS. The rest of the installation should be straitforward, just make sure you have all the necessary drivers for the OS your installing ready on diskette.
